Moving Forward

At the end of each year, Tammy and I set aside time to pray and earnestly seek God for His wisdom for the approaching new year. Last December, I received the words, “Moving forward in 2016”.

We have witnessed this very thing throughout this year. Lives have been touched, restored, and forever set free. There have been medically documented miracles, including my own, which have brought amazement to doctors and medical staff; confirming the power of God’s mighty hand.

I had a heart attack in February requiring the need for a Heart Cath, with the intent of stents being inserted into my veins. During the procedure, the veins showed NO sign of blockage that earlier tests revealed. God performed a great miracle in my life!

Then, in October, my father took a nasty fall, gouging his eye out onto his cheek. He was taken to the emergency room where they lanced his eye to release a blockage of blood. They went too deep causing him to lose a great amount of blood.

He was taken by ambulance to the OU Medical Center where a group of surgeons were preparing to remove his eye. (My father had an accident when he was a young boy which left him virtually blind in his other eye.) He was facing being totally blind for the rest of his life.

The doctor cauterized the area where the blood was flowing from and ordered cat scans to obtain their next plan of action. God was already placing His action of restoration to Dad’s eye. The surgeons saw some improvement and decided to place the surgery on hold.

Just four days later, Dad was able to see the television screen. Two days later, he was able to read. The eye still looked bad, yet the swelling was almost non-existent. Tammy and I went to visit him one month after the fall. His eye looks as it did before the fall, in it’s proper place and fully functioning. Only our God; He once again performed a great miracle.

As I was praying for this next year I clearly heard in my spirit, “New beginnings”.

Maybe you have encountered challenges in which only a miracle could change them. I want to encourage you to press in and believe God as never before. Just as Mary, the mother of Jesus, spoke in answer to an impossible situation, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word”, expect the same results for your situations. Confess it out loud right now, and believe this next year will be a year of new beginnings for you.

All of us at ACC wish you and yours, a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

Moving forward to new beginnings,

Pastor Cary
